Wowe is me.
Well I just CAN'T seem to get-into this blogging thing.
I recently added to my web site:
Well we had a good thing going (the Internet and the WWW) for a while. Guess it was only a matter of time till the .gov messes it all up (I had to remove the 4 letter words).
Oh well, life goes on, and on; and on.
I recently added to my web site:
"Try uncovering this Snowden person and does he get "due process", or get the scoop right from the White House."

Here is a re-cap of things on my mind;
from my other web site (ksguy.com):
New internet exploits and bad guys are cropping up all the time.
Now we have the
. Imagine the consequences of 420 million devices which are accepting trivial logins on their Telnet ports. Yes! Researchers found Telnet ports open, on that many IP's.
Originator: internetcensus2012.bitbucket.org Found over a million unique unprotected devices, using botnets, on Port 23 (Telnet).
www.h-online.com/security/news/ US-CERT warns of HP LaserJet printer backdoor.
hp-printers-in-1980s-style-firmware-misconfiguration-boo-boo The US Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) has issued an intriguing Vulnerability Note to do with a data and password leakage flaw in a number of HP printers.
kb.cert.org/vuls/id/782451 The CERT article from above.
hp.com/us/en/support-drivers HP support/drivers page.
Then there is the SSL problem (with an easy web-test).
SSL/TLS server security as revealed by SSLLabs.com: on their SSLLabs.com/ssltest SSL Server Test site, where even the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) get poor marks. (F's when I checked.)
So, with gaping holes like Telnet and SSL, it looks as though we are in for a lot of bad news this year and beyond. Can you say: "DOS attacks"?
Old Stuff:
Java is still a large security hole that everyone should know about. Please remove it if you can live without it. More info at : java.com - and at krebsonsecurity.com. Consider disabling Shockwave as well.
Here is another GREAT tool for browser security: ( from: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ )

The diet Blitz is over. I've lost 10 pounds. Hooray! I hope to lose more but I know it will not be coming off fast.
We did go to see ' Dark Shadows ' . It was a good movie. We enjoyed it.
I was able to make my Nook Color Tablet do a triple boot. That is to say, I can make it boot normally, or boot to one of two OTHER Android operating systems. Mine are Cyanogen Mod 7 and Cyanogen Mod 9 as Ice Cream Sandwich. It's like having your desktop PC boot to Windows 7, Ubuntu or Linux Debian. CM 7 is the one I am use to, CM 9 is good for me to explore.
What's next? I may root my Panimage tablet, a Samsung Intercept cell phone, or my trusty Droid Incredible. More than likely I'll work on the DVD of our trip to Jamaica. Or I could work on modifying a boot iso file. I have a boot CD that I want to modify. It is a Secure Web Client, "Lightweight Portable Security", which boots a thin Linux operating system from a CD without mounting a local hard drive. It is from ATSPI Technology Branch; the DoD and the Air Force Research Laboratory. It is free at http://spi.dod.mil/lipose.htm. If you have suggestions on how to modify their iso; let me know.

On the diet side, my calories have floated around 2,100 but my net calories have averaged below 1,800. Net effect is, I am loosing weight.
I gave in to letting our daughter and her hubby seed the lawns' bare spots. There are just lots of things I can't do right now and it bugs me to no end. I told my better half that she could not work in the yard today, since she abused her back so badly doing it the other day, trying to seed the lawn.
I've thought about posting a rant on how easy it is (on the inter-web) to be misunderstood; and thus being labeled as a perv (or at least, undesirable). The more I think about it, the more I think I would be misunderstood. Ironic? No?

Mothers Day:
Yes, I have something for my wife. Also, we plan to go see ' Dark Shadows ' . Bet you didn't know I was a fan of Jonathan Frid. More info at http://goo.gl/S0kFJ. Hum, Dark Shadows on Mothers Day? Will I survive?Friday, May 4, 2012
Diet Day 11
OK, this is getting tiring. I don't think I'll post every day if I have nothing to say but how many calories I've eaten. Did Thursday with only 2,133 Calories consumed.
On the down side.... Adobe just released, today, ANOTHER update for Flash Player.

Diet Day 10
I think I skipped a day some where. Oh well.
2127 Calories consumed yesterday, Wednesday.
I turned in my numbers for mid-week. We do that to help remind us to keep track. It works! Tonight is POTATO night! Hoop Yahoooo, Yippy! With a bunch more veggies.
